Five Minutes With: Folk-Rock Band Fuses

Born out of a long-distance correspondence, Fuses’ songs are signals in search of a connection across distances that span oceans. Drawing inspiration from 60s folk rock and classic country, Fuses paint a sound picture that connects the Swedish urskog with the Canadian muskeg, the aching heart with the broken-down engine.

Drummer and bassist Moa-Linn Rösenlof (Orkan, Spela Död) first met guitarist Craig Fahner when his Toronto-based group Motorists played in Gothenburg in 2024. Since then, they’ve been writing and recording a suite of songs steeped in lush vocal harmonies and reverb-soaked steel guitar, creating a sound that is both timeless and uncommon, at once melancholic and hopeful.
