American football star Travis Kelce has shared his first public details about his reported wedding to pop superstar Taylor Swift, describing the celebration as “the best night of my life.”
Speaking to reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp on Wednesday, August 12, Kelce opened up about the highly anticipated wedding.
“It was a fun off-season, man. Wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” he said.
The National Football League star described the occasion as a “crazy night” but kept most details of the private ceremony under wraps.
Kelce also revealed that getting married at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden fulfilled a childhood dream, describing the venue as the “mecca of all sports venues.”

“It’s kind of cool to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue … being able to get married there,” he said.
The couple reportedly tied the knot on July 3 in a star-studded ceremony attended by about 1,000 guests. Actor and comedian Adam Sandler reportedly officiated the ceremony, while the arena was transformed into a lavish garden setting for the celebrations.
Kelce also recalled one of the lighter moments of the celebration, joking about New York’s intense summer heat while praising the venue’s air conditioning.
“The AC was cooking’ baby,” he said, calling it “the best part.”
The Chiefs star also referred to Swift as “my wife” while discussing their connection to Madison Square Garden, offering fans a rare glimpse into their life following the reported wedding.
Kelce and Swift have been one of the world’s most closely watched celebrity couples since their relationship became public in 2023.
The romance began in mid-2023 after Kelce revealed on his podcast that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City.
Swift later made her first high-profile appearance at a Chiefs game that September, transforming their relationship into a global media phenomenon as the couple regularly attended each other’s concerts and football games.
