Authorities and grieving relatives have identified all nine people who died when a Bahamas-bound private jet crashed shortly after take-off in Florida on Sunday, November 1.

The victims included a Texas technology entrepreneur, his wife and their two young children, alongside family friends, their nanny and the two pilots aboard the Learjet 60.

According to the BBC, the aircraft had departed from Austin, Texas, before crashing onto a multi-lane Florida highway, where it burst into flames.

Among those killed were technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife, Helen Sharp, and their children, four-year-old Emma and two-year-old Charlie.

Robinson was known in the software industry as the founder and chief executive of companies including RB2B and Retention.com.

He had previously worked at global financial institutions Lehman Brothers and Barclays.

His wife, Sharp, was an accomplished artist.

In a joint statement, relatives remembered the couple as devoted parents who brought warmth and generosity to those around them, describing their two children as the light of their lives.

Also aboard the aircraft were the family’s close friends Rachel Reed and Charmi Fehr, as well as their nanny, Anita Maria Cetina.

Relatives remembered Reed and Fehr as vibrant individuals who deeply cherished their family and friends.

Cetina was honoured for her tender care, unwavering devotion and close bond with the children, with loved ones describing her as an irreplaceable part of the household.

The flight crew comprised Captain Jeff Gregory and co-pilot Nathalia Filgueiras.

Gregory, 55, was an experienced pilot whose former employer, East Coast Jets, issued a statement expressing deep sadness over his death.

Filgueiras, 20, had obtained her pilot’s licence at just 17 while still completing high school.

Her mother confirmed her death to reporters, recalling her daughter’s passion for aviation and the freedom she found in viewing the world from above.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigators are examining whether factors such as severe turbulence, atmospheric icing or human error contributed to the accident.

No official cause has been established.

As investigations continue, relatives and communities in Texas and Florida are mourning the nine people whose lives were lost in the crash.
