Police in Hampshire, England, have launched an investigation after five teenagers were seriously injured in a knife attack at a Halloween party on Saturday night.
According to the BBC, emergency services were called to a house on Park Road in Chandler’s Ford, near Eastleigh, shortly after 10.30 pm.
Investigators believe a group of unidentified attackers forced their way into the house during the party before launching the assault.
The victims, three aged 16 and two aged 17, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Residents reported a major emergency response, including a police helicopter and an air ambulance that landed nearby. One witness said they saw a young victim fleeing the house while being chased by two attackers.
Police cordoned off the property on Sunday as forensic teams searched for evidence. Officers also questioned neighbours and reviewed security camera footage as they worked to identify those responsible.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie thanked residents for their patience and assistance as investigations continued.
Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis expressed sympathy with the injured teenagers and their families, saying the attack had shocked the normally quiet neighbourhood.
She urged the public against spreading rumours or unverified information online and called on anyone with relevant information to contact the police.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who was near Park Road on Saturday night, or has dashcam or doorbell footage that could help establish what happened, to come forward.
