Kenyan content creator and photographer Baba Talisha, real name Faustine Lukale, has raised concern among his followers after sharing a photo showing his face and eye swollen on Instagram Stories.

The content creator accompanied the image with emotional messages about feeling mentally defeated and struggling with depression.

In one post, he described depression as a “war” and shared another message about people who disappear during difficult times but return when things improve.

Baba Talisha has publicly shared previous difficult periods in his personal life in recent years with his loyal social media following.

He shot to the limelight after the untimely demise of his first wife in 2020. He has since remarried Stella Walda, popularly known as Mis Wanjey.

The couple have a son together and are also raising his daughter from his previous marriage.

More recently, Baba Talisha has been involved in a lengthy court case that ended with a judgment of about Sh6 million against him.

He previously said the case, which began in 2024, had taken an emotional toll on him.

He also said a gag order issued during the proceedings prevented him from speaking publicly about the matter.

Following the judgment, he was required to raise money for an appeal and stay orders and said he turned to a few close friends for financial assistance rather than appealing to the public.

Online speculation later suggested that he had borrowed money to fund a lavish lifestyle, claims he strongly denied.

He urged people not to celebrate another person’s difficulties without understanding the circumstances behind them.
