Tinubu Congratulates Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal at 61



President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on his 61st birthday, describing him as a “Renaissance governor” who has brought positive change to the state.

Tinubu, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, celebrated Lawal as he marked his birthday on September 2.

The President particularly commended the governor’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his efforts towards industrialisation in Zamfara. He also praised Lawal for going beyond infrastructure provision to rehabilitate over 800 schools, recruit more than 2,000 teachers, upgrade hospitals and provide medical supplies across the state.

The statement read in part, “The President celebrates Dr Lawal on this occasion, describing him as a Renaissance governor who has brought positive change to Zamfara.

“President Tinubu particularly acknowledges Governor Lawal’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his industrialisation effort in the state.

“The President commends the governor for going beyond infrastructure provision to rehabilitate over 800 schools, recruit over 2000 teachers, upgrade hospitals, and provide medical supplies across Zamfara,” the statement read.

According to the statement, Tinubu said Lawal’s multi-sectoral approach to governance was the right step towards achieving holistic development, particularly in human capital development.

The statement added:

“President Tinubu, a strong proponent of well-rounded development, says Governor Lawal’s multi-sectoral approach to governance is the right step toward holistic development, especially in human capital development.

“As the governor celebrates this occasion, the President joins family, friends, and the good people of Zamfara to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the nation.”
