Motorcyclists dressed as superheroes and Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Batman, Superman and Minnie Mouse, rode through Buenos Aires to deliver toys to children at Garrahan Hospital.

In a clip seen by TNX Africa, thousands of costumed riders took part in Argentina’s annual Children’s Day celebrations, bringing a colourful spectacle to the streets of the capital.

The procession departed from the Argentine Polo Field, passed the iconic Obelisk and travelled through the city before arriving at Garrahan Hospital, Argentina’s leading public paediatric facility for complex medical care.

According to The Washington Post, the massive convoy was organised by Kawaclub, a local motorcycle group that has led the charity ride for two decades.

This year’s event marked the 20th anniversary of the initiative, which began in 2006 after organisers drew inspiration from a similar motorcycle toy drive in Scotland.

Over the years, the event has grown into a major citywide spectacle, combining Argentina’s vibrant motorcycle culture with community support for children receiving treatment.

Every rider taking part was required to bring a new toy for the young patients.

Organisers also enforced strict guidelines on the types of gifts allowed at the hospital.

Plush toys were prohibited because of sanitation and hygiene requirements, while war-themed toys were banned to maintain a peaceful and uplifting environment.

The parade once again brought smiles to patients, their families and residents who lined the streets, marking two decades of a tradition centred on generosity and bringing joy to children.

The heartwarming event also drew praise on social media.

On X, Mitch Bollig wrote: “This is what loving your neighbor looks like. You meet people in their pain, bring joy into a hard place, and remind children they have not been forgotten.”

Another user, Oj, added: “This is what being a real-life hero looks like. Motorcyclists bringing smiles, toys and unforgettable moments to children who need them most. Beautiful tradition!”
