Controversial city preacher Victor Kanyari has said he has been unable to see his children, Sky and Danny, claiming he spent Father’s Day away from them.
“This Father’s Day is one of the saddest days of my life. While many fathers are celebrating with their children, I continue to live with the pain of being denied access to mine. I have not been able to see them, and I do not know where they are. I believe their stepfather has played a role in keeping them away from me,” he said in a video seen by TNX Africa.
He further appealed for a resolution of the matter and set a deadline for reconciliation, saying his concerns were driven by parental love and the desire to reconnect with his children.
“To those responsible, I make a heartfelt appeal; please allow my children to reconnect with their father. I am giving until Wednesday for this matter to be addressed peacefully and in the best interests of the children,” he said.
“My fight is not driven by anger, but by love. Every child deserves to know both parents, and every father deserves the opportunity to love, guide, and support his children. I will continue praying for the day we are reunited,” he added.
Kanyari’s unverifiable remarks come amid renewed online discussion over the custody and welfare of his children, Sky and Danny.
The conversation was reignited following remarks made by the late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s close friend, Shiru Stewart, concerning Bayo’s widower, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash.
Shiru, who has previously maintained a close relationship with Bayo’s children and hosted them in the United Kingdom during the December holidays, alleged that Tash had withheld money earned by Sky through brand endorsement deals. She later retracted the allegation.
Following Bayo’s death, some members of the public questioned Tash’s role in raising the children.
At the time, Shiru had defended him against criticism.
The matter resurfaced after her recent comments went viral online.
Sky later appeared on a TikTok live session where she defended her stepfather and dismissed claims that her mother’s friends had remained actively involved in their lives, saying none had visited since Bayo’s passing.
Tash has not publicly responded to the allegations.
