Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has publicly expressed his love for his two children with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, amid renewed online speculation about their relationship with him.

During a recent performance in Kampala, Uganda, the Bongo Flava star dedicated a song to Zari, whom he described as the mother of his children, before mentioning their two children, Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan.

Addressing the audience, Diamond said;

“I want to sing this song and this song is a special dedication to the mother of my kids. Do you know why? Because she blessed me with two kids, beautiful kids, Latifah and Nillan. I love them so much. And as you know, those are my first kids.”

His remarks come amid renewed conversations on social media about his relationship with the two children, particularly following his daughter’s 40-day celebration, which she marked with fellow Tanzanian singer Zuchu.

Some social media users questioned the attention given to Princess Tiffah compared to her younger brother, Prince Nillan, while others revived speculation about the boy’s paternity.

However, Diamond did not directly address the paternity claims during his Kampala performance or explain the circumstances behind the renewed speculation.

Instead, he used the moment to express affection for the two children he shares with Zari.

Diamond and Zari were once among East Africa’s most prominent celebrity couples, attracting considerable public attention before their separation in 2018.

The former couple welcomed their first child, Princess Tiffah, in August 2015, followed by their son, Prince Nillan, in December 2016.

Despite their separation, the two have maintained a co-parenting relationship, occasionally sharing moments involving their children on social media.

Zari later married Ugandan businessman Shakib Cham, while Diamond continued his music career and relationships, fathering children with other partners.

The singer also has children with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna and Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto.

He has more recently been romantically linked to fellow singer Zuchu.
