Georgia the dog is looking for a new home in the Toronto area

Georgia may have a little grey on her muzzle, but this gorgeous six-year-old mixed breed is a firecracker at heart! She loves to play, learn new things and earn treats. With her trusted people, she is also a warm, gentle cuddle companion.

Georgia has a lovely mature side, too. At home, she enjoys relaxing and settles comfortably on her own while her person is at work. She brings a wonderful balance of playful energy and independent downtime.

Meeting unfamiliar people can be challenging for Georgia, and she may bark or react to ask for space. She does best with a trusted person by her side and new people who respect her boundaries and let her set the pace. Her love of treats and toys can help bridge that gap! Georgia is extremely smart and thrives with familiar people who support her. Building trust takes time, but she is worth it.

Georgia is also learning to channel her enthusiasm. Busy or unfamiliar environments can leave her excited, anxious and unsure what to do next. She needs a family who can recognize her “Whoa, this is a lot!” moments and help her pause, check in and take things one step at a time.

This clever, affectionate girl is looking for patient people who will support her as she settles into her forever home. In return, they will get to know a sweet, charming and spunky companion with a playful spirit, a cuddly side and plenty of personality.
