American rapper Rick Ross has denied domestic violence allegations after his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, accused him of physically assaulting her during an alleged altercation at his Miami Beach home.

Ross surrendered to Miami Beach police on Thursday, October 1, 2026,after he was booked on charges including felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery.

The allegations stem from an incident involving Ross and a woman he had reportedly been dating for about a year. According to the police affidavit, Jazzma Kendrick told investigators that Rick Ross became angry after she was tagged in an Instagram post.

She alleged that he slapped her, struck her several times and restricted her breathing by grabbing and twisting the collar of her hoodie. She further claimed that Rick Ross grabbed her by her ponytail, slammed her against a wall and struck her in the face, leaving her with a busted lip.

Police confirmed that  K Jazzma provided timestamped photos of injuries which she said were sustained during the alleged incident.

Kendrick had also spoken publicly about the alleged assault on her  Instagram stories, warning women to leave abusive relationships and claiming that Ross had “busted” her lip.

Ross appeared before a Miami  judge, where his lawyer entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf. The judge set his bond  approximately Sh648,400. He subsequently posted the bond and was released.

Following his release, Rick Ross strongly denied the allegations, describing them as fabricated.

“I am totally innocent of these fabricated allegations made against myself,” Rick Ross said .

His attorney, Steve Sadow, also maintained that the rapper was innocent and urged the public not to prejudge the case as it moves through the judicial process.
