American rapper Lil Wayne has surprised fans by introducing 23-year-old Madi Cannon as his fiancée, months after publicly denying that the two were engaged.

Wayne made the announcement in a video message to fellow Hot Boys member B.G., who recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Brooke Jones.

While congratulating B.G. on his engagement, Wayne turned the camera towards Cannon, who was standing behind him.

“And I’m marrying this one, this is Madison,” Wayne said, before adding, “This is my fiancée.”

Wayne also joked about the wedding plans, telling B.G., “Let us know what color we’re wearing. I’m the best man, you hear me?”

The video quickly attracted attention online, with fans reacting to the unexpected announcement.

The revelation comes months after Wayne appeared to rule out an engagement during a livestream in July. At the time, he said, “No, I’m not engaged.”

“I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person,” Wayne said, adding that the two had decided to part ways.
