Kenyan rapper Bmixx KE released The X Vibes, a four-track EP, on September 19, 2024, a year after releasing his album The Throne.

The project came at a point when the rapper was exploring a sound that balanced rap with melodic elements, drawing from both his Nairobi background and wider contemporary African music influences.

His music combines Swahili and English, while his background in acting and creative direction has also influenced the way he approaches his music and visuals.

The X Vibes opens with Tell Me What You Want, a love song in which Bmixx KE takes a softer approach, singing about relationships and asking his love interest what she wants from him.

The second track, Not The Usual, maintains the mellow mood and features Nigerian rapper Kushy Kush. The two artistes explore relationships and the connection they share with their partners.

Bmixx KE changes pace on AY, delivering a more rap-focused performance that highlights his versatility and flow.

The EP closes with The Masseuse, featuring rapper Danytox Intronix. The track returns to a harder rap sound, with the two artistes delivering their verses over the production.
