Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has shared photos from a meeting with United States Embassy Kenya Chargé d’Affaires Susan Burns and her team at her residence in Nairobi.

Sifuna shared the photos on X on Thursday, September 18, showing him alongside Burns and another member of the US diplomatic team during the meeting.

“Happening,meeting @USEmbassyKenya Charge d’ affaires Susan Burns and her team at her residence in Nairobi,” Sifuna wrote.

In the photos, Sifuna is seen dressed in a blue suit and tie as he engages with Burns, with an American flag visible within the compound.

The Linda mwanainchi leader, however, did not disclose details of the agenda or the issues discussed during the meeting.

The encounter attracted reactions from X users, with some commenting on Sifuna’s engagements with diplomatic representatives.

Among those reacting was X user Fadhili, who wrote, “Sifuna is busy meeting the right people while others are busy moving from one hotel to the next.

Sifuna has in recent months remained active in political and public affairs, while foreign diplomatic missions in Nairobi regularly engage Kenyan political leaders and other stakeholders on matters of mutual interest.

The latest engagements add to a series of diplomatic meetings Sifuna has held in recent weeks as he builds his national political profile and positions himself for a possible presidential run in 2027.

Sifuna has in recent weeks held meetings with several foreign representatives in Nairobi.

Among them is former French Ambassador to Kenya Arnaud Suquet, who met Sifuna at his offices at KICC before completing his tour of duty in Kenya.

Suquet was accompanied by French Deputy Head of Mission Alexandre Peaudeau and Political Counsellor Romain Boyer.

Sifuna has also held talks with EU Ambassador and Head of Delegation to Kenya Henriette Geiger, as well as German Ambassador Sebastian Groth
