Tragedy Plus Time: Comedian Sofie Mikhaylova

Sofie Mikhaylova is still finding her footing in comedy, and there’s something refreshing about that honesty — her dry, observational style feels like it’s being built in real time, shaped by influences as varied as Marc Maron, Chuck Klosterman, and David Sedaris. She’s a firm believer that you can’t fake your way into a comedy scene; you have to show up, watch shows, and actually be part of the community, which is exactly how she’s been building her own voice one set at a time.
