A major lineup of Canadian musicians and entertainers will take the stage at Toronto’s Massey Hall this September for a concert supporting mental health and substance use recovery.

Live Loud returns for its second edition on September 10, 2026, bringing together artists from across Canadian music for a benefit concert in support of Matthew Perry House and Make Music Matter.

Hosted by actress, comedian and musician Lauren Ash and Canadian comedy veteran Bruce McCulloch, the event will feature performances from The Strumbellas, Aysanabee, Julian Taylor, Tim Hicks, Crown Lands, The Washboard Union, Fefe Dobson, Maestro Fresh Wes, Michie Mee, Bif Naked and several other musicians.

The concert will also include appearances from members of some of Canada’s best-known bands, including Aaron Solowoniuk of Billy Talent, Menno Versteeg of Hollerado, Sekou Lumumba of Big Wreck, Todd Morse of The Offspring, and Cone McCaslin and Dave Baksh of Sum 41.

A Concert Supporting Two Canadian Charities

Live Loud is a national partnership between Matthew Perry House and Make Music Matter, two Canadian non-profit organizations working to support people affected by mental health challenges, trauma and substance use.

Proceeds from the concert will be split equally between the two organizations.

Matthew Perry House was created by the late actor’s family to continue his legacy through support for people in recovery. The organization focuses on community connection, access to resources and reducing stigma around substance use and recovery.

Make Music Matter uses music and the creative process as part of its therapeutic Healing in Harmony program, working with vulnerable communities in Canada and internationally.

According to the organization, its programs have supported more than 19,000 participants across nine countries.

“My family and I are overwhelmed by the talent, emotion, and love for Matthew at last year’s Live Loud,” said Caitlin Morrison, Executive Director of Matthew Perry House.

“This year, we’re getting even bigger, even louder, even livelier. And it’s all because of artists and supporters who believe in the missions of Make Music Matter and Matthew Perry House.”

Building on the First Live Loud Concert

The first Live Loud concert was held in 2025 and brought together Canadian artists and supporters around the shared goal of opening conversations about mental health, trauma and substance use.

The event’s impact continued beyond the concert itself through a documentary, also titled Live Loud, which was released nationally on Crave in connection with Bell Let’s Talk Day in 2026.

“The first Live Loud showed us we’re at a turning point,” said Darcy Ataman, founder and CEO of Make Music Matter.

“People are ready to talk more openly about trauma and mental health. I’m thrilled Live Loud 2026 is set to shine an even brighter light on the stigma and silence that still surrounds these issues.”

Charity Auction Planned for the Evening

Along with the concert, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a charity auction featuring exclusive items and experiences.

Veteran broadcaster Rudy Blair will host the auction.

Bell Let’s Talk is again supporting the initiative, with Mary Deacon, Chair of Bell Let’s Talk, saying the partnership uses music and community to help raise awareness around mental health and substance use health.

“Taking a moment for mental health can be as simple as pressing play on a song that helps you breathe, feel, and reconnect,” Deacon said. “Every moment matters.”
