Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly married his longtime partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez, in a private civil ceremony in Portugal, People.com reports.
Ronaldo appeared to confirm the marriage after sharing a photo on Instagram showing two hands placed on top of each other, both wearing wedding rings. The post quickly attracted more than three million likes within 30 minutes.
Portuguese media reported that the ceremony took place on August 11 in Cascais, a coastal town near Lisbon. Their five children were also reportedly present at the private ceremony.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together for about 10 years. They first met at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working while Ronaldo was playing for Spanish club Real Madrid.
The couple announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, after Rodríguez shared a photo of her large diamond ring. “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” she wrote in Spanish.
Ronaldo is a father of five children. He shares two with Rodríguez, who has also helped raise his other three children. The family currently lives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Their daughter, Alana Martina, was born in 2017. In April 2022, Rodríguez gave birth to twins, Bella and a boy. Their son died during childbirth.
Ronaldo has scored nearly 1,000 goals during his football career and has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al-Nassr and Portugal.
According to the BBC, the 41-year-old is captain of the Portuguese national team. He recently played at his sixth and final World Cup, matching Lionel Messi’s record for the most appearances at the men’s tournament.
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times, while Messi has claimed the award eight times. He joined Al-Nassr in 2022 and signed a new two-year contract in 2025, keeping him at the Saudi club until 2027.
In 2025, Bloomberg valued Ronaldo’s wealth at Sh180 billion ($1.4 billion), making him the first football player to become a billionaire.
