Grammy-winning R&B singer and actress Coco Jones has officially married NBA star Donovan Mitchell.
According to US media reports, the couple tied the knot on Saturday, August 1, in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family.
The wedding came nearly a year after the Cleveland Cavaliers guard proposed to Jones during a tropical vacation in July 2025.
Ahead of the ceremony, Jones celebrated with a bachelorette trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, alongside her closest friends.
On the wedding day, she wore an elegant reception gown with a flowing veil, while Mitchell opted for a classic cream-coloured tuxedo.
In videos seen by TNX Africa, the newlyweds looked radiant as they celebrated with guests.
One of the night’s highlights was the couple’s first dance as husband and wife to Musiq Soulchild’s Love.
Clips of the emotional moment quickly spread across social media, delighting fans. Guests also enjoyed a live performance by singer Blxst during the reception.
Jones and Mitchell first met at a professional networking event in 2023. Throughout their relationship, they have largely kept their romance out of the public eye, choosing to maintain their privacy despite their high-profile careers.
The wedding caps off a milestone year for both stars. Days before the ceremony, Mitchell signed a five-year contract extension with the Cavaliers worth $273 million (Sh35.2 billion).
Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the wedding, Jones joked that while her husband had signed a huge basketball contract, saying “I do” was “the biggest contract I’ve ever signed.”
