Drama unfolded during the burial of celebrated Gusii gospel singer Liz Kerubo after her husband sparked an emotional confrontation while addressing mourners.

The tense moment occurred when the widower stood to give his speech and reportedly attempted to introduce his second wife and their children to those gathered for the funeral.

Before he could continue, Kerubo’s children interrupted him, with one of her sons confronting his father and grabbing the microphone from him. The incident briefly disrupted the burial as mourners watched the family disagreement play out.

The son reportedly objected to the introduction of the second family during the funeral and insisted that his father return to his seat alongside his second wife and their children. The widower eventually stepped down, allowing the burial programme to continue.
