The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has called on 2026 Hajj and Umrah pilgrims with complaints or comments about services rendered during the exercise to submit them for review and appropriate action.

This was contained in a statement made available on the commission’s official social media accounts on Tuesday.

According to NAHCON, the move is part of its statutory mandate to regulate and supervise organisations involved in Hajj and Umrah operations in Nigeria.

“The Commission wishes to inform the general public that it has commenced a review of the 2026 Hajj and Umrah exercise,” the statement said.

NAHCON said it is inviting all pilgrims who participated in the 2026 exercise to forward any complaints or comments regarding services rendered by individuals or institutions.

“Pilgrims who have complaints or comments regarding the services rendered by any individual or institution during the exercise should forward these to the Commission for appropriate action,” it stated.

The commission explained that the feedback would help improve future Hajj and Umrah operations.

“These petitions will help the Commission identify ways to improve services for future Hajj and Umrah operations,” NAHCON noted.

It added that the submissions would also guide decisions on the renewal of licences for service providers.

“The information will inform decisions on the renewal of licences for relevant service providers, including tour operators, State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, airlines, cargo companies, caterers and accommodation service providers,” the commission said.

Furthermore, NAHCON said it welcomes suggestions and ideas from stakeholders and members of the public on ways to improve Hajj and Umrah operations.

“The Commission welcomes suggestions and ideas from stakeholders and members of the public on ways to improve Hajj and Umrah operations in Nigeria,” it stated.

The commission directed that all complaints, comments or suggestions must include the author’s full address.

The commission urged pilgrims and stakeholders to submit their complaints, comments and suggestions no later than July 31, 2026.
