Kenyan comedian and media personality Daniel Ndambuki, widely known by his stage name Churchill, has publicly accepted a fitness challenge from Eric Amunga, popularly known as Amerix, after a viral post on X sparked widespread debate online.
The discussion began after Amerix shared a blunt message directed at Churchill, expressing concern about his weight and warning about potential health risks.
In the post, Amerix wrote:
“Churchill of Churchill Show is extremely FAT.
He should UNFAT.
He is staring at Diabetes, Hypertension, Kidney failure and Cancer.Churchill, UNFAT!”

The direct statement quickly gained traction online, drawing thousands of reactions, comments, and reposts as Kenyans debated whether the post was genuine health advice or unnecessary body-shaming.
Rather than respond defensively, Churchill appeared to take the message in stride. The comedian reposted the tweet and responded briefly but confidently:
“Challenge ACCEPTED!!! on it!! ?”
His response immediately fueled even more conversation online, with many fans applauding him for taking the comments positively and turning them into motivation for a healthier lifestyle.
The conversation spilled onto radio when Churchill appeared on air with veteran radio host Maina Kageni. During the lighthearted discussion, Churchill joked about the viral advice and admitted that Amerix’s comments may have been a wake-up call.
“Now kuna jamaa anaitwa Amerix anakuwanga X ametuambia mimi na meja hizi matumbo ziende, we have to unfat,” Churchill said humorously on air.
Maina agreed with the sentiment, acknowledging that the influencer’s message may have struck a nerve for many men.
“Amerix, you were so so right,” Maina said during the conversation.
Churchill, however, made it clear that he is not just laughing about the challenge but is also ready to act on it. Speaking about his fitness plan, the comedian joked that he intends to incorporate serious exercise into his routine once.
“Lakini after rally nataka nikimbie 30km a day,” Churchill told Maina, suggesting he plans to begin an intense running routine.
Churchill’s response has largely been viewed as a display of humility and humor qualities that have made him one of Kenya’s most beloved comedians.
