‘Stranger Things’ actress Maya Hawke and singer Christian Lee Hutson tied the knot in a surprise Valentine’s Day wedding in New York City on Saturday, February 14.
Reported exclusively by People, the 27-year-old Maya looked radiant in a white wedding dress paired with an oversized, feathery winter coat, while 35-year-old Hutson was sharp in a classic tuxedo.
In attendance were Maya’s famous parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. Uma dazzled in a light blue gown with matching shoes, while Ethan, in an all-black ensemble, proudly walked his daughter down the aisle.
Many of Maya’s ‘Stranger Things’ co-stars were also present, including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery, showing support as she marked a milestone in her life.
The couple have long shared their relationship publicly. In a 2025 interview with SoCal Sound Session, Hutson described the ‘Inside Out 2’ actress as his fiancée.
Two months later, Maya was spotted in Manhattan wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, and the pair attended a play’s opening night together—the first time they walked a red carpet as a couple.
Maya and Hutson met through music. Between 2022 and 2023, Hutson toured with her friend Phoebe Bridgers and assisted Maya with her album Chaos Angel, appearing on it in 2024.
The duo confirmed their closeness in a Valentine’s Day 2024 photo, which Hutson captioned, “The first song from Maya’s new record, Chaos Angel, is out now. I love this song. I love this record. Can’t wait to share the rest of it.”
Maya also shared personal snaps of them relaxing in bed and on a plane in July 2024, writing, “I am lucky enough to know this guy @christianleehutson. He is a poet, musical genius.”
