MyVitenge hosted the Afro Street Bazaar at Kraftory Biergarten, marking the launch of a vibrant monthly, family-friendly event set to take place every first Saturday of the month.

The full-day experience celebrates African Ankara fashion, culture, food, and entertainment, bringing together curated fashion stalls, bold African designs, great cuisine, and a lively atmosphere suitable for all ages.

Set against the relaxed backdrop of Kraftory Biergarten, the bazaar offered an ideal weekend hangout for families, friends, and culture enthusiasts.

The initiative is the brainchild of Mathew Atanda, who says the bazaar is designed to promote and create opportunities for Kenyan designers specialising in African Vitenge outfits.

“This bazaar is a platform for Kenyan designers to showcase their creativity and talent in locally designed Vitenge outfits. It creates a one-on-one interaction between designers, members of the public, and potential customers,” Atanda said.

Designers featured at the event included Tabasamu Stitches, Igulleather Bags, Imaniz Designs, Kwetu Collections, My Vitenge, and Jua_Fits.

From February onwards, the MyVitenge Afro Street Bazaar invites Nairobians to make it a monthly plan, discover African fashion, support local creatives, and experience culture in a fun, social setting.
