The Office of Kenya’s Fourth President, Uhuru Kenyatta, has issued a stern advisory cautioning online users against sharing unauthorised or misleading content falsely attributed to the retired Head of State.

In an official statement posted on X, the Office expressed concern over what it described as the “deliberate circulation of false and misleading content on social media platforms.”

The statement clarified that such content is entirely unauthorised and does not reflect the views or position of H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta.

“We wish to remind the public that any official communication from the retired President will only be disseminated through our established and verified channels. We urge all citizens to exercise vigilance, verify information before sharing, and avoid amplifying falsehoods that could erode public trust. The dignity of the Office of the Fourth President of the Republic of Kenya remains paramount,” the statement read.

The advisory follows a string of misinformation aimed at prominent Kenyan figures, including false reports about Kenyatta’s health and fabricated videos or quotes that misrepresent his political views.

Some of the posts circulating online have wrongly suggested that the former president is planning political rallies in the Mt Kenya region to offer new guidance.

Others have falsely attributed comments to him on current political and economic issues, creating the impression that he is actively participating in national debates, despite no official statements being issued.

Interestingly, Uhuru’s warning comes just a day after Tanzanian actresses Irene Uwoya and Jackline Wolper revealed on social media that they once had a crush on Kenyatta.

The actresses’ comments were made during an episode of The List Reality Show, where cast members were asked to share past celebrity crushes.

Irene Uwoya said her admiration for Kenyatta dated back to his early political career, before he became President.

“I really liked Uhuru Kenyatta. He’s charming, confident, and carried himself with a lot of class,” she said, noting that her crush was based on his public image, calm demeanor, and leadership style.

Jackline Wolper echoed similar sentiments, saying she too admired Kenyatta at the time. “I think many women admired him. He had presence, and he was very handsome,” Wolper said, drawing laughter from the panel. She added that her crush was light-hearted and rooted in admiration rather than any personal connection.

The candid exchange quickly went viral, with clips circulating widely online and triggering lively debate.

Uhuru Kenyatta served as Kenya’s 4th President from 2013 to 2022 and remains known for his easy-going, down-to-earth personality.
